Troop Meetings
We meet each week at Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs. In addition to regular meetings, we plan a variety of outdoor activities and special events throughout the year.

Why Scouting?
Scouting’s mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices throughout their lives by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. In Scouts BSA, youth build character, develop leadership skills, serve their communities, and gain confidence through hands-on experiences and outdoor adventure.
Scouting’s Methods
Living the Ideals
The Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout motto, and Scout slogan guide everything we do. By practicing these ideals in meetings, activities, service projects, and daily life, Scouts learn responsibility, integrity, respect, and a commitment to helping others.
Belonging to a Patrol
The patrol is the heart of Scouts BSA. In small groups, Scouts work together, plan activities, solve problems, and support one another. The patrol method gives every Scout opportunities to contribute, develop friendships, and learn the value of teamwork.
Advancement
Advancement gives Scouts a clear path for learning new skills and achieving personal goals. As Scouts progress through the ranks, they develop outdoor skills, leadership experience, confidence, and a deeper understanding of citizenship, service, and personal responsibility.
Youth Leadership
Scouts BSA is a youth-led program. Scouts plan meetings, organize activities, lead their patrols, and help shape the direction of the troop. With guidance from trained adult leaders, they gain practical leadership experience and learn from both their successes and challenges.
Outdoor Adventure
Camping, hiking, cooking, paddling, climbing, and other outdoor activities are central to the Scouting experience. These adventures help Scouts become more capable and self-reliant while building resilience, teamwork, and an appreciation for the natural world.
Serving the Community
Service is an important part of Scouting. Through troop projects, conservation work, and individual acts of service, Scouts learn to recognize the needs of others and make a positive difference in their neighborhoods and communities.
